Haryana Government has approved the Delhi-Rajasthan High Speed Rail Corridor this week (June 2018). This corridor will stretch from Delhi's Sarai Kale Khan to Haryana-Rajasthan border. The average speed is projected to be 100 km/h.
The new railway link project, which is estimated around Rs.25,000 crore, will be developed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), which is a joint doing between the Government of India, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi. If all goes well, the distance between Jaipur and Delhi could be covered in 90 minutes in the future.
The approval for this project was delayed for a long time due to the acquisition of land. But it is now passed with a little modifications.
