Generic Medicines in India

When we get a fever and we go to a doctor, he checks us up and write us a prescription. So far, so good till here. Then we go to a chemist to get medicines from it. He happily gives it to us. Then he hand over the bill to us, we check it. We check it again. It amounts to Rs. 1000 for just a fever. This is the situation of our country now. The big players in the pharma industry makes it impossible for us to buy medicines. To tackle this situation and to provide with affordable medicines, the government of India launched a drive in which various medical stores will be opened all over the country and they will provide good quality medicine in cheap rate (also known as generic medicines) and it is known as Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana Kendra (PMBJPK).
