India is a country with a large population and lot of unemployed people. That's why in order to compete with others and to find a job for themselves, a person need to have a skill set. Without which, he/ she can not get better of others. That is why in other to get ahead of other and to develop skill set in the poor youth, the government launched a new scheme known as Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY).
Under DDU GKY scheme
- It is a part of Skill India Campaign.
- Age: 15-35 Years.
- The skill is provided total free of cost.

Eligibility Criteria
- BPL Card Holder
- BPL PDS Card Holder (also called Antyodaya Anna Yojana in some states)
- RSBY Card Holder (Rashtriya Swasthya BimaYojana)
- Family members of SHG members of a registered SHG in the village
- Family members of paid workers under the MGNREGS with a minimum of 15 days of work in the last 12 months
